Welcome ∙ Broken ∙ Risen
Easter at King’s is always a high point in our church calendar - a time of remembrance, reflection and celebration. Our theme this year is Welcome ∙ Broken ∙ Risen. The week begins on Palm Sunday when you are welcome to join us for a time of celebration. Then on Good Friday, we meet to break bread together and reflect upon Jesus, broken for us. Finally, on Easter Sunday, we have the joy of celebrating the risen Jesus Christ. All services will be taking place at each of our Catford, Downham and Lee sites, and the times are summarised below:
PALM SUNDAY, 29th March
- Catford: 9.30am, 11.30am & 5.30pm
- Downham: 9.30am &11.30am
- Lee: 10.30am
GOOD FRIDAY, 3rd April
- 10.30am at Catford, Downham and Lee
EASTER SUNDAY, 5th April
- Catford: 9.30am, 11.30am & 5.30pm
- Downham: 9.30am & 11.30am
- Lee: 10.30am
Easter is a great opportunity to invite family and friends to join us, so I encourage you to pick up flyers on Sunday.
Have you seen our new King’s website? I frequently meet new people on a Sunday who have visited the website before visiting the church. Many thanks to all the team involved in updating and improving this important part of our publicity and communication.
Lastly, on 22nd March we conclude our Better Together series with Diversity Sunday. This is always a fun, vibrant and colourful event, when you are invited to come in your national dress - or ‘smart clothes’ if you don’t have one! On the same day, if you are not already a member of King’s, you can join me on the Catford site from 10.15am to 1pm for our Membership Morning, an opportunity to hear from more from me about our values and what it means to be a member.
