Christmas Programme

Carol Services

I so enjoyed the carol services at Catford and Downham last week, and it was great to see lots of visitors at each one. Once again the team at King’s have put together an excellent programme of carols, performance pieces and readings, communicating the Christmas message with creativity and originality. I’d like to extend a massive thank you to all our talented musicians, singers and behind-the-scenes technical people for all your hard work – it is deeply appreciated. Thank you also to everyone who served in other ways, whether that was helping with car parking, being on the welcome team or serving tea and coffee. We could not host these carol services without you.

This week there are three more opportunities to come to the Christmas carol service: 10.30am at Lee and 5.00pm at Lee and Beckenham. Catford and Downham will be having Family Christmas Services at 9.30am and 11.30am. Once again, we would love you to bring your family and friends.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Looking beyond this weekend, on Sunday 24th December there will be just one service at 10.30am at each of our four sites. Then on Christmas Day itself we gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus at 10.30am at Catford, Downham and Lee. If you normally attend the Beckenham site, please come along to one of our other sites. This will be a fun, relaxed service for all the family.

New Year’s Eve and Watchnight

On Sunday 31st December there will be just one 10.30am service again at Catford, Downham and Lee, before we come together again in the evening for Watchnight. This is always a highlight, and I do hope you will join me to pray, give thanks and worship as we welcome the New Year in. Services are being held at Catford, Downham and Lee from 10.30pm (doors open at 9.30pm) until 12.30am. Due to the popularity of this event you will need to book a (free) ticket for the Catford site only. All tickets for Catford have now gone but please come and join us at either Downham or Lee, even if this is not the site you normally attend.

A summary of all services over the Christmas and New Year can be found here.
