Christmas Day, New Year and Week of Prayer
CHRISTMAS DAY, WATCHNIGHT AND 7 DAYS OF PRAYER
After the busyness of the last few weekends of Carol Services and Family Christmas Services, it’s good to take a moment to pause and look forward to Christmas Day itself and New Year. Here’s a quick reminder of what’s happening at King’s over the rest of the Christmas period.
CHRISTMAS DAY
There will be one morning service at 10.30am at Catford, Downham and Lee (no Beckenham meeting, but please join us at one of our other venues). This will be a relaxed, hour-long family service, and it is always a great way to celebrate Christmas Day.
WATCHNIGHT
Over the last few years, our New Year’s Eve Watchnight service has become a highlight for me. I love seeing in the New Year by praying and worshipping with God’s people. This year we will be holding two services – one at Catford and one at Lee - from 10.30pm to 12.30am. We are ticketing the event again to help manage numbers, and you can book these here. There is of course no charge.
SUNDAY 1 JANUARY
Join us on the first Sunday of the year to worship together and hear God’s word. There will be one morning service 10.30am at Catford, Downham and Lee (no Beckenham meeting, but please come along to one of our venues).
7 DAYS OF PRAYER
As usual we want to start the year off with a focus on prayer. We'll gather from across the church at our Catford site from 7-8 pm from Sunday (8th) to Friday (13th) at the Catford site, except for Thursday evening (12th) when we will gather at each of our four sites. I hope to be at all of them, and I’d love you to join us for as many evenings as possible.
Until then, have a very Happy Christmas and a joyful New Year.
