…because it shows we’re saved
‘If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.’ 1 John 3:14 (NLT)
There’s more to life than the here and now. The relationships we build with other Christians will continue into eternity. We have something great to share, now that we have passed from death to life.
Salvation isn’t just a gift to be opened and enjoyed –although joy is a real by-product of a relationship with Christ. Salvation is also an adventure to be explored. Loving other Christians invites them along so we can journey together; it helps others overcome the struggles and difficulties along the way.
Question to consider
If you were put on trial for your faith, and your expressions of love were the only evidence, what would the verdict be?
