Making Life Work

We begin a new preaching series this coming Sunday entitled Making Life Work. It is based on a book of the same name by Bill Hybels - an immensely practical, readable and encouraging book - and draws on the wisdom teaching found in the book of Proverbs. We actually did this series 13 years ago, but 90% of the church was not around then - an amazing statistic! I'm looking forward to seeing how the riches of this Old Testament book will impact us as we go through the series.

I began to think where we were 13 years ago as a church. Who could have imagined three sites, with six meetings over all, and three meetings at our Catford site alone? This Sunday also marks the opening of the refurbished auditorium at our Lee site and there will be an outreach morning this Saturday in preparation for the start of this new term.

There are people who are now a part of our church who were first contacted through our outreach mornings and we are preparing to welcome and care for even more people who are beginning their journey of faith! Our Alpha teams are preparing to welcome those we invite - be thinking and praying about who you can speak to about coming along to Alpha. It's going to be a great year!

Have you seen our billboards around the locality? Look out for them!

And I wonder what God will do with us over the next thirteen years?
