Gospel Fruit
‘The gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the world.’ Colossians 1:6
Deb and I are coming to the end of an excellent trip to the USA. This last weekend we were in St Louis, Missouri, with friends Bryan and Rachel Mowrey. Bryan leads Jubilee Church in St Louis and also heads up the Confluence family of churches, which is part of Newfrontiers Apostolic Fellowship. We were last with them three years ago, when I had the privilege of speaking at Confluence’s leadership conference. During that visit Bryan showed us a plot of land which they had just purchased and on which they hoped to build a new venue for one of their sites. In 2019 it was just an empty field. Three years later, that vacant plot has become a fantastic new building. We met there on Friday evening for a celebration evening marking the end of a week of prayer, and it was a joy to see it filled with people worshipping and praying. The site has grown and has already moved to two meetings each Sunday morning. In fact, Jubilee now has six services meeting across four different venues. I preached at four of the services on Sunday and was encouraged to see many responding to the gospel. The gospel is indeed bearing fruit and growing throughout the world!
From St Louis we flew to Dallas, where we were joined by Scott and Claire Marques from Zimbabwe. We then spent a fruitful couple of days with Bryan and the Confluence team where, among other things, we had a helpful discussion around the future foundation of Newfrontiers.
