Week of Prayer

‘The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold.’ – Psalm 46:7

I’d like to take the opportunity to remind you that we start a week of in-person prayer meetings at King’s from Sunday 6th to Friday 10th March. We will gather each evening from 7-8pm at our Catford site, except for Thursday evening when we will meet at our site venues. Beckenham will join with Catford for that evening.

I would like to encourage all of you to come to as many of the meetings as you can. If you are coming straight from work, or can’t quite make 7pm, you are welcome to join us for as much of the hour as you can. Deb and I are planning on being there every night. We are also inviting you to consider fasting, and you will find some helpful advice on doing this here.

As the terrible events in Ukraine continue, the need to pray feels even more urgent. Together we will bring before God the escalating conflict in Europe, as well as other issues we are facing in our nation and in our church. When we worship and call out to God, we remind ourselves of the One we serve, who is powerful and sovereign and able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.
