The Feast Delivery Service

On my blog this week, I have Simon Allen, leader of our Jericho Road Project, and one of my heroes.

JRP started in 2001 and aims to support those who live on the streets or are in vulnerable situations. Part of JRP is The Feast, a weekly meeting offering a hot meal, friendship and support to more than 100 local people. When the Coronavirus crisis hit, it was no longer possible to host The Feast at our Catford building, and so the amazing team quickly switched to a delivery service. Here is Simon to tell you more about this exciting development.

I am thrilled that The Feast Delivery Service means we can continue to offer help, hope and community to some of our most vulnerable neighbours through this challenging season.

The Coronavirus crisis is undoubtedly a difficult time for many in our church and wider community. In addition to the ongoing work of JRP, we have recently launched The Hope Initiative as a response to some of the needs arising during this season. Please take a look at the webpage to find out more.

Finally, I invite you to join us online again this Sunday, when Andrew Wilson will be speaking as our Psalms series continues. Andrew got the series off to an excellent start last Sunday, preaching out of Psalm 139 – if you haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet, I highly recommend it. You can find it on our media pages or via the free King's app.
