An Invitation to the Sceptical

If you’ve never read anything written by Tim Keller, you should! He’s a fantastic communicator that has written on a wide range of subjects, and his book The Meaning of Marriage is one of the best books on marriage I’ve ever read – not only worth reading if you’re married but if you’re single too.

One of his most recent books is Making Sense of God: An Invitation to the Sceptical – a subject he’s well qualified to write and speak on having “spent decades engaging with sceptics of all persuasions, from the hostile to the hopeful, in personal conversations, sermons, and books” while leading Redeemer Church in New York City. In many ways it’s a prequel to another of his books, The Reason for God, but starting further back, engaging with those who are sceptical about religion and faith and whether it’s relevant in our 21st Century world.

This week I watched a talk he gave at Google, based upon this book, which I highly recommend you watch. It’s about 35 minutes followed by around 20 minutes of Q&A.
