Team Spirit

This week I have been away in France with key members of our staff team. Over recent years, we have made it our habit to get away in May to the Braithwaite’s, who always provide us with outstanding hospitality. We have found that being away together has been hugely beneficial - it enables us to make time and space for prayer and discussion about all we believe God is calling us to at King’s. By the end of the week we hope to have a growing sense of the next steps on our journey, and upon our return I will present our recommendations to the eldership team for their input. Sadly this year I will not be able to participate in the annual water polo and badminton championships, as I am still recovering from lower back pain.

Then on Saturday we are taking advantage of a rare opportunity - Ben, Josh and I have tickets to watch Palace in the FA Cup final! Josh has suggested we make a day of it, so after a hearty cooked brunch we will make our way across London to Wembley. Sam has shown great maturity and will be staying at home, as he is in the middle of his GCSEs. However, we have agreed that whatever the outcome we will all meet up in central London in the evening to mark the day. Hopefully we will be celebrating and not commiserating!

So this week it’s Team Spirit week: Team King’s, Team Palace and Team Tibbert!
