Some Important News
For those of you who have not yet heard the recent news regarding my new role for Newfrontiers UK, here is a copy of the letter I sent out to the King’s Church London family last week:
Dear friends,
I am writing to each of you to share some important news.
Newfrontiers is the family of churches to which King's has belonged for over 30 years. Starting as a house church movement in the 70s, under the leadership of Terry Virgo, it began in Sussex and spread across the UK and to many nations around the world. In July 2011, at the Newfrontiers International conference held in Brighton, Terry Virgo handed over the leadership of his movement to a number of his spiritual sons. Since then, Newfrontiers has continued to multiply and grow; it now has around 300 churches in the UK and approaching 1,500 around the world.
At our recent international leadership conference in Turkey, hosted by David Devenish, it was announced that I have been invited by the UK based apostles to provide facilitating leadership across the several different spheres which now make up our family of churches in the UK.
In practice this will mean that I will host our leaders’ meetings and represent Newfrontiers to the wider body of Christ. We have discussed this at length as elders and within our senior leadership team. We believe this is a great opportunity for King's to serve our family of churches.
On a personal note, I remain totally committed to King's. I will continue as our Senior Pastor and we will be implementing a number of changes within our senior leadership over the next couple of months to ensure we continue to move forward locally.
